Supervise day-by-day mill maintenance related mechanical activities in the Belt areas and conduct daily safety inspections in order to ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work are planned, organized, actuated, controlled properly, safely, and in a timely manner in accordance to company procedures and safety policies.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Prepare and review daily work schedule (DWS) for subordinates in order to arrange the order of work and prioritize jobs based on requests and unscheduled workload.
• Perform 5-minute daily safety meeting with subordinates in order to ensure that all employees understand necessary safety procedures (safety gear, housekeeping) for daily work activities.
• Perform daily meetings with subordinates in regard to planning any unscheduled work and review backlog schedule weekly in order to determine which jobs can further be prioritized and assigned immediately and help prevent/minimize production delays and/or idle time.
• Check operating equipment daily (daily inspection) in order to identify any possible symptoms towards breakage and schedule necessary preventative maintenance in efforts to make sure that all equipment is working properly and safely.
• Attend daily planning meeting in order to assist in planning daily activities and provide field update to superior.
